• Light is basic concept through which films are made. The whole principal of film is the registering of light on film or tape.
• It is thus absolutely crucial to pay careful attention to how we construct our sets and setup the lights
• Indeed one of the greatest responsibilities of the DoP is to select the proper lights for the relevant scene.
• However, set aside the technical aspects of lighting, there is a much bigger role for them to play, and that is ‘Storytelling’
